Indentures and tax receipts from the state of Illinois.Both indentures transfer land in the Illinois Territory from former infantrymen to merchants in New York City. Two internal Revenue receipts for taxes were paid by Halliday Brothers & Co. of Cairo, Il., dated January 31 and February 2, 1863.
